A) Regarding the Bikesharing program called E-blue

1) E-blue – Solution Description

E-blue is a shared mobility solution based on electric bicycles proposed by the Intermunicipal Community of Médio Tejo (CIMT).

2) Where can I find a E-blue bicycle?

The E-blue application allows you to view all system stations.

When the station is orange, bicycles are available (simply click on the station to see the number of available bicycles). When the station is gray, there are no bicycles available.

 

B) Bicycle Usage

1) How to unlock the bicycle?

To unlock your bicycle, simply access the E-blue application (register the first time you access the application), scan the QR code on the bicycle (at the top of the main tube), and it will be automatically unlocked.

2) Is there a minimum age to use E-blue bicycles?

For legal and insurance reasons, the use of E-blue bicycles is only allowed for those aged 16 and above.

3) Where to park my bicycle to end my trip?

To end the journey, you must properly park your bicycle at a E-blue station. Outside of system stations, a fee of €0.15 per 30 minutes will be charged.

4) How to lock my bicycle?

Simply close the lock at the station. To finish your journey, the application will prompt you to take a photo of the bicycle. A beep will indicate that your bicycle is properly locked.

5) Can I take a break during my trip?

Yes, during your journey, you can stop the bicycle by locking it (lock/cable). Your journey does not end, and no other user can unlock your bicycle.

6) Is it possible to reserve a bicycle?

No, it is not possible to reserve a bicycle.

 

C) Fees and Payment Methods

1) Do I need to subscribe to use a bicycle?

No, you can use a bicycle without a subscription, with payment per availability.

2) What is the cost of a trip?

If you are a subscriber, the first 60 minutes are free, then you will pay €0.15 for each 30 minutes. If you are not a subscriber, the unlocking fee is €2, and then €0.15 for each 30 minutes, after the first 60 minutes.

3) How can I change my credit card?

In the E-blue application, in your account, go to “Manage Payment Methods.”

4) How to cancel my subscription?

In the E-blue application, in your account, go to “My Subscriptions.”

5) Can I receive an invoice?

Yes, you can obtain an invoice with the E-blue application.

 

D) Emergencies

1) What to do in case of an accident with a E-blue bicycle?

If the accident is serious, seek help directly. If not, contact us through the E-blue application (“Contact” section) or through the call center +351 292 202 000.

2) What are the emergency numbers?

Don’t forget the emergency numbers: 112 is the valid emergency number throughout the national territory and the European Union.

3) How can you contact us?

E) Insurance

1) Is there insurance in case of an accident?

There is liability insurance.

2) Is there insurance in case of bicycle theft?

No, in case of bicycle theft, a deductible of €1,500 will be charged.

 

F) Safety

1) Is wearing a helmet mandatory?

Wearing a helmet is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend its use.

2) What is the maximum authorized speed?

The user must comply with the rules of the current Highway Code.

3) Can I use a bicycle in bad weather?

Yes, our bicycles are designed to be used in any circumstance. Be sure to take necessary precautions in bad weather, drive gently, and be even more careful than usual.

 

G) Circulation Areas

1) How can I know about restricted traffic areas?

With E-blue, there are no demarcated areas. You just have to park the bicycle at one of the stations to complete your journey.

 

H) I Have a Problem

1) In case of a problem with a bicycle, who should I contact?

Inform us directly in the application by clicking on the triangle icon in the upper right corner “Report a problem.” We will contact you later. In any case, the bicycle you unlocked must be brought back to a E-blue station to complete the journey and end the rental.

2) For any other problem, who should I contact?

In case of emergency, you can contact 112, which is the valid emergency number throughout the European Union.

3) What to do in case of bicycle theft during my trip?

The user is responsible for their vehicle from the moment it is unlocked until it is locked at a E-blue station. In the meantime, if your bicycle is stolen, inform us directly in the application by clicking on the triangle icon in the upper right corner “My bicycle was stolen.” We will contact you later.

4) I have a billing issue, how do I get a refund?

Contact us through the application (“Contact” section) or by email: e-blue@cmhorta.pt.

5) If you see an abandoned bicycle, what should you do?

Contact us through the application (“Contact” section) or by email: e-blue@cmhorta.pt or by phone at +351 292 202 000. Thank you.

6) What to do if you forget to lock the bicycle at the station?

As soon as you realize it, quickly check if the bicycle is still in the same place where you left it. If not, contact us directly.
